Manual Entries

Group Level Manual Entry allows you to edit specified values for a group of devices for a single day all at one time. You can choose the data values that you're able to edit in Group Administration. Manual Edit is a Security Permission that can be restricted to only users who you wish to Manually Edit. See Security Permissions Definitions and User Security Permissions to learn more about this permission.

To navigate to Group Manual Entry, select the group you are wanting to Manually Edit in the Group Hierarchy, then select Manual Entry from the left side menu.

The Group Manual Entry page will display with the values you have selected on the Manual Entry Configuration tab of Group Administration.

Device Level Manual Entry allows you to edit a specified data values for a specific device for entire month all at one time. You can choose the data values that you are able to edit at the Tag Details Properties Tab for each data value you wish for that device. Manual Edit is a Security Permission that can be restricted to only users who you wish to Manually Edit. See Security Permissions Definitions and User Security Permissions to learn more about this permission.

To navigate to Device Manual Entry, select the device you are wanting to Manually Edit from the Summary Listing grid, then select Manual Entry from the left side menu.

The Device Manual Entry page will display with the values you have selected on the Tag Details Properties tab:

To Manually Edit values, follow the steps below:

1. Click to highlight the row of the value you want to change. 

    

2. Enter the new value. Once you click into another field that information will be saved.

Once you have made all of your changes, the Summary Listing and Tag History will update with the newly entered values and will display as Manually Edited values not Scheduled Polled Values.

Tag Level Manual Entry allows you to edit any polled values and enter new values for a specific device and tag value for any time frame you need. You can choose the data values that you are able to edit at the Tag Details Properties Tab for each data value you wish for that device. Manual Edit is a Security Permission that can be restricted to only users who you wish to Manually Edit. See Security Permissions Definitions and User Security Permissions to learn more about this permission.

To navigate to Tag Manual Entry, select the data value you are wanting to Manually Edit from the Summary Listing grid

Tag Level Manual Entry allows you to edit any polled values and enter new values for a specific device and tag value for any time frame you need. You can choose the data values that you are able to edit at the Tag Details Properties Tab for each data value you wish for that device. Manual Edit is a Security Permission that can be restricted to only users who you wish to Manually Edit. See Security Permissions Definitions and User Security Permissions to learn more about this permission.

To navigate to Tag Manual Entry, select the data value you are wanting to Manually Edit from the Summary Listing grid, then select Manual Entry from the left side menu.

To edit existing values, follow the steps below:

1. From the Duration tool, enter a customer duration of your start and end date and time of the time frame you wish to edit.
   
   
2. Once the data values for that time frame display, click to highlight the row of the date and poll time you wish to edit.

    

3. Click in the text box and enter the new value. Once you click into another field that information will be saved.

To enter new values, follow the steps below:

1. On the main toolbar, enter the date and time you wish to enter a new value.

    

2. Enter the new value in the Data Value box.

    

3. Click Add.

Once you have made all of your changes, the Summary Listing and Tag History will update with the newly entered values and will display as Manually Edited values not Scheduled Polled Values.
