Image views can be created at a group level as well as at the device level, depending on the need. The method for creating either is very similar and each user has the option to use image views created for them, or they can create their own.
Note: Image Views created or edited in the new application are not backwards compatible.
Use these links to quickly jump to the different sections of this article on Creating & Using Image Views.
Accessing Image View
To create a Group Image View, choose a group that contains all the assets you wish to include. Once the Summary Listing screen loads, from the menu, select Image View.
To create a Device Image View, navigate to the device and from the menu, and select Image View.
Available Actions
When the Image View page loads, at either the device or group level, and no configuration has been set as a default, the screen will look like the following.
In the upper right corner there are three options, View Options, Create New, and Manage Image Library.
When the Image View page loads, at either the device or group level, and a configuration has been set as a default, or a user has selected a view, the actions menu expands and is shown below:
Note: Depending on the configuration, and a User's Credentials, some or all of these actions may be shown.
View Options
When View Options is selected, the option panel is displayed with the options to Choose a View and Scale to Fit are shown.
The Choose a View dropdown allows a user to select from configurations already within the system.
In the example above there are not any current configurations for the group but the three types of views are shown.
- Shared Views - Views that a user has access to that are able to be edited by the user.
- Shared Read-Only Views - Views a user has access to that are not able to be edited by the user.
- Private Views - Views that only the user has access to.
Scale to Fit only applies once a configuration has been selected. It is preset to scale the image to the available screen size. If toggled off, the image is displayed in the native resolution.
At the bottom of the View Options panel is a Reset button that resets the view to what is set as a default for the group or device.
Create New
When Create New is selected, the Image View Creation Wizard opens.
Image Views can have one or many pages based on the configuration. Each white box or card indicates a page. Each card allows the user to edit the Page Name, setup the contents of the page by selecting EDIT PAGE VIEW and if the configuration is completed the options to Duplicate or Delete the page.
Note that each page will have different specifications and should be named accordingly.
The option to Add Page will not become available until the first configuration has been completed. If multiple pages exist, the order in which they are displayed is based on the order in which the cards appear on the screen. To reorder, click in the center of the card on the two lines and you can drag to reorder. The topmost card will be Page 1.
Creating & Editing Page Views
To build out the first configuration or to edit an existing configuration, select EDIT PAGE VIEW.
Depending on if Image View was accessed at the Group Level or the Device level the next step will differ.
