The Device Details Tag Value Configuration tool allows you to create a customized view of the tags displayed on a device’s details page. By default, all tags are shown in a categorized list managed by eLynx. With this feature, you can:

To create a new Configuration or View, select Create New from Configuration Options in the Actions menu found in the upper right corner of the screen.
Once the Configuration Builder opens you have the following options:
- Enter a custom name for the Tag Section. (Note you will have the option to add multiple sections.)
- Edit Section allows you to select the tags.
When you select Edit Section, you will see the following screen.
- Shows the Selected Tag Values
- Shows all of the Tags on the current device. The grid works the same as others in the application and has the option of filtering for each column.
- Tag Name - The name of the tag in the system
- Tag Type - The global group the tag belongs to
- UoM - The unit of measure
- eLynx Tag Group - shows the default grouping by eLynx
- Custom Tag Group - displays the custom tag group a user has placed the tag in for the view or configuration.
- Options, allows a user to view the selected tags or view all tags in the database. (Note: the View All Tags is helpful when creating a view or configuration that is going to be globalized or used on other devices. It allows a user to create tag groupings with tags that may not be on the current device but found on others.)
Select the tags you wish to add to the Custom Group. In this case I am going to add all of the pressure data (filtered the UoM to PSI).
Once all Pressure Tags are selected, click Display Options in the lower right corner to order them.
To rearrange the order, click the and hold to drag to place the tags in the order you wish to see them displayed in the group. Once finalized click Tag Groups at the bottom of the screen.
Now that a section has completed, you have the option to add another tag group in the upper right corner, by selecting ADD TAG GROUP and continue adding tag groupings.
Once all sections are completed, select SAVE AS NEW in the lower right corner. Choose a name that best describes the Configuration or View.
And select SAVE AS NEW.
The new View is now available with the limited tag set!
Now that you have a configuration, there are other options available.

In the event you need to edit the configuration, and you have permission to do so, select edit and the configuration tool opens showing the tag groupings or sections.
Make the applicable changes by editing the sections or adding sections and then selecting SAVE CHANGES.

- Anyone can view is Shared but read only for other users.
- Anyone can edit allows all users to view and edit the configuration.
Set as Default
When selecting Set as Default you have to option to set it for yourself for the device if the permissions are Private.
If you make it shareable, by modifying the permissions, you have expanded options.
You can set it as default for yourself on the device, For all users that don't already have a default, or set for all users, including yourself.
If you wish to set it for all devices in a group you can do so by selecting, Set as default for all users that don't already have a default in the second section.
Duplicate
In the event you don't have permissions to edit a view or configuration, or want to change something just for yourself, you can duplicate a current configuration and save it. This often saves time when creating other views.

To change the name of the Configuration or View, Select rename, change the name and save changes.
Delete
You are only allowed to delete configurations you own or have full rights to. Be VERY cautious as this cannot be undone.
