To change the de-bounce time out on an I4D, (the timeout is set to 10 seconds by default), do the following:
Set up Hyper terminal, CRT 4.1 or some type of terminal program for 2400, N, 8, and 1 with no flow control.
Tie into the 9-pin port.
Apply power to the I4D.
When you see an indication on the screen, type in AT*V (enter). It will tell you how the unit is set up. The I1TO will show 100 because it’s in tenths of a second and the default it 10 seconds. All the rest of the inputs will also show you 100. (I2TO, I3TO, and I4TO).
If you want to change any one of the four inputs, you’ll have to immediately type in the new de-bounce timeout. For example, AT*I1TO=300 will set the first input up for 30 seconds de-bounce.
After you’ve done this, type in AT*V to see if the change took place. If not, you’ll have to kill power to the unit and do the AT*V again to get it in set up mode.
Once you’ve made the necessary changes, type AT*W. This will keep the changes if you have a power failure.
