The SCADALynx Mobile application supports an “Offline” or disconnected mode. This mode is enabled automatically when the user’s mobile device loses access to a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. The “offline” mode allows field operators access to a minimal data set with condensed device level functions. All data entered in offline mode is stored locally on the user’s device to be transferred when a dependable data connection has been established. In offline mode, the application will display information from a data set stored locally on the device. A user will have access only to those devices in each group that have been configured for Manual Entry. The Manual Entry tags will be displayed on the Device Details page when the View All tag filter is selected.
Manual Entry
In offline mode, a user will have the ability to perform manual data entry functions for those devices with tags configured for manual entry. The application will store and upload each value entered by the user. Once a value has been entered by the user, the application will display the last “offline” value entered for each tag until the data has been successfully transferred.
Memos
In offline mode, a user will also have the ability to enter device level memos. The application will store and upload each memo entered in offline mode when the device has established a network connection.
