SET POINT MESSAGE FORMAT – ALARM NOTIFICATIONS
Email – Text – Automated Voice Call
EMAIL: When creating an Alarm Set Point, if Email is one of your Alarm Notification choices, the fields highlighted below allow you to see what text will appear in the subject and body of the Email by default.
If you want the Email to read differently, you can overwrite the text. You have this option for the Email notifying you of the Alarm and the Clear.
Note: This will also be the content on Emails notifying you of Alarm Acknowledgement.
TEXT: Alarms via Text contain a fixed Message Format. If Text is one of your Alarm Notification choices, the Format of the Text Message Alarm or Clear cannot be changed.
Below is an example of what information a Text Notification provides for Alarm condition changes and Alarm Acknowledgement.
Note: If the Text Message exceeds the character limitation (160 characters), the remainder of the Message will be delivered in a second Text Message.
“Alarm” or “Clear”
Device Name
Set Point Name
Set Point Value and UOM
Timestamp

AUTOMATED VOICE CALL: If an Automated Voice Call is going to be one of your Alarm Notification choices, the fields highlighted below allow you to phonetically type out the Alarm and Clear Message that you will hear on the call.
If you assign a Recipient to be notified by Automated Voice, but don’t enter any text in the Voice Alarm/Clear Message fields, the content in the Email Alarm/Clear Message fields will be used.
Note: The Voice (automated) Type will only work if it has been enabled for your customer account with eLynx.
