Reporting enables you to quickly and easily run reports you have permissions for, as well as create new reports to instantly view data that best suits your needs.
Note: The appropriate security permissions must be granted to your user account by your site administrator, in order to utilize the SCADALynx Reporting functionality.
Select the highest group level in your Group Hierarchy (with devices), then click Reporting from the side menu.
View or Create Report
From the Reporting page, you can view an existing report by choosing a configuration from the Please select a configuration drop-down selection, then click Run Report. To create a new report, click Configure.
Note: If you're running an existing report, you can choose to have it populate on the Reporting page as soon as it's done loading (On-Sreen), or give you a notication pop-up in SCADALynx (Notification) when it's ready to view, so that you can navigate away from the Reporting page.
Configuration Properties - Format Tab
Under Configuration Properties, provide a name for your report configuration and change the drop-down selection from Private to Shared, or Shared Read-Only, if you want other users to be able to access this report.
Under Section Details select the desired style for the configuration by clicking the Report Style drop-down selection. You can view a sample of each style by clicking View Sample.
Enable/disable your desired features under Report Options and choose the sort order of the device(s) and date(s) you will select for your report.
Under Section Details, click the Contents tab and select a group(s) of devices to report on, or click on Devices to select the device(s) you wish to report on.
Note: You can also choose to include Include Internal Tank Devices.
Choose Attributes & Data
Under Section Details, click the Data tab to select your desired Sample Rate, Aggregate Options, Attributes and Data Values.
Column / Data Options
To rename a column from the data value name, or change the number of decimal places for a data value, click Column / Data Options. Then select the desired data value from the drop-down selection and enter the column name you wish to display on the report. Change the number of decimal places for the data value, if desired. Click 'OK.'
Click the Order tab to drag/drop the data values in the order you desire the data columns to appear in your report.
The duration of your configuration will default to the past 6 days. To choose a different timeframe, click the Duration tab, then click the drop-down field under Section Details to choose/configure one of the following options:
• Multiple Timeframes
• Current Single Timeframe
• Previous Single Timeframe
• Specific Start/End Times
Additional Configuration Sections
To add/edit sections of your report configuration, go to Configuration Properties, then click the drop-down selection under Configuration Sections. From here you can choose to:
- Add a New Section
- Reorder Sections
- Delete an Existing Section
- Rename a Section
- Copy an Existing Section
You will receive the following notification in the top-right corner to confirm your report configuration has saved.
Edit a Report Configuration
From the Reporting page, you can edit an existing report by choosing a configuration from the Please select a configuration drop-down selection, then click Configure and follow the steps listed above.
eLynx can setup a scheduled delivery for any report configuration that has been created in your SCADALynx site, at no charge. The report can be delivered via e-mail or placed on a FTP site. The report can be sent out as many times as you desire throughout the day/night and can include multiple recipients.
